BREAKING NEWS! The second of the trapped Chilean miners has just been rescued!

Would have gotten this story on here sooner had I kept checking the news.  See it all here:

This is fantastic news, the beginning of the end to an inspirational story.  Can you imagine the interviews these awesome guys are going to give?  Can you imagine the relief and joy they must be feeling at knowing how soon their ordeal will be over?

Be sure to pray that all will be well, and that all the remaining miners will be pulled to the surface safely.  They’ve made it this long–certainly some Higher Power must be with them!

Thank God for the saving of these Chilean miners who some media-heads implied they would not likely be rescued safely or alive. But, beyond the media-head’s ignorance, the media-head’s incompetence, and their failure on their wrongful-speculations, there still remains the question of how many of these saved minors will end up divorced , separated, or the victim of suicide after later learning of situations that their wives or girlfriends were unfaithful to their “beloved” partners while they remained trapped under ground. Could take years. Might be time for those Chilean miners to seek out American attorneys, and sue those incorrect American media-heads out of existence. But, that would eliminate the entire CNN network (except for the Anderson 360 show), what then? Should those incorrect CNN media-heads be imprisoned for the crimes they committed against these rescued miners? Another case for a reconsideration of the value of the death penalty for the CNN media-heads and their staffers. Maybe CNN can sell tickets for their employees executions or raise some money by selling tickets in an auction-format too. Starting bids?

Thanks for taking the time to comment michelle! I agree, thank God for the miners’ rescue!

It will certainly be interesting to see how they will handle their brand-new statuses as “celebrities.” Hopefully they will be able to carry on fairly normal lives, as many of them have expressed the desire to do. I am a bit nonplussed by the rest of your comment. Are you saying that the media, who exposed the fact that at least one (married) miner had a mistress, has committed some sort of crime of slander? (Because the matter of the mistress is an undisputed fact, and I don’t think anyone can be imprisoned for reporting that.) I’m guessing that the remainder of the comment is satirical but after reading Andrew O’Hehir’s latest movie review I can’t be 100% certain. 😉
